Hong “Liz” Nguyen is a New Orleans-based Speech Lang Pathologist with additional specialized training in endoscopic swallow studies, tracheostomy/ventilator dependent, and traumatic brain injury populations. Her professional areas of interest and expertise include adult dysphagia, cerebrovascular disorders, medically fragile, and end-of-life/hospice care. Liz is the owner of Dysphagia in Motion, a mobile FEES company providing endoscopic swallow studies to skilled nursing facilities and hospitals in the south Lousiana and Gulf Coast region. Her active licensures include Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida.
Amy Martin, MCD, CCC-SLP received her Masters of Communication Disorders from Arkansas State University in 2005. She began her career providing speech and language therapy to adults and children in her home town of Wynne, Arkansas. Quickly she discovered that the adult population carried a special place in her heart. As a result, she dedicated her career to working with adults in skilled nursing homes for 9 years as a director of rehabilitation and treating clinician. Understanding the limitations that speech language pathologists face in obtaining instrumentation for their patient's, inspired her to found Arkansas Dysphagia Imaging. Amy is a member of the Arkansas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and holds a certificate of clinical competency with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In 2018, she was honored to be a first time recipient of the ASHA ACE Award for excelling in dysphagia education. Arkansas Dysphagia Imaging is currently accepting new contracts in central and north Arkansas.
Jessica Conn, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist who has been working in the medical field for six years. She has significant experience evaluating and treating a wide range of diagnoses including dysphagia in acute, inpatient rehab, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. In addition to clinical experience, Jessica is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. She teaches undergraduate course work and supervises graduate students, as well as mentoring graduate and CFY clinicians at various facilities. Jessica is a recipient of the ASHA ACE award for continuing education and has dedicated her career to improving use of evidence-based practice in the assessment and treatment of dysphagia. She is the owner of East Texas Swallowing Diagnostics and is excited to be bringing mobile FEES to skilled nursing facilities across East Texas.
